WALANG dapat ipangamba ang sambayanan sa kahandaan ng Team Philippines sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

NAGKAKAISA ang mga opisyal ng Philippine Sports Commission, sa pangunguna ni Chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez, kasama ang mga kaalyado sa Philippine Olympic Committee, PHISGOC at sports icon sa pagbibigay ng suporta sa atletang Pinoy, habang maituturing world-class ang bagong ayos na Rizal Memorial Coliseum para sa 30th Southeast Asian Games. Ipinahayag ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman at Team Philippines Chief of Mission William ‘Butch’ Ramirez na handa ang atletang Pinoy para muling makamit ang overall championship sa biennial meet.
Huling nakamit ng Team Philippines ang overall title noong 2005 kung saan host din ang bansa sa pinakamalaking multi-sports event sa rehiyon.
“Yes, 75 per cent of the athletes each of the National Sports Associations have recommended to undergone the needed international experience,” pahayag ni Ramirez sa kanyang pagbisita sa SCOOP on Air.
“We don’t have the Sports Godfathers this time to relied on but the government has left no stone unturned in providing our athletes the necessary training,” aniya.
“President Digong tasked us to give all the needed support and make sure for the resounding success not only in the actual staging the Games but, likewise, in the performance of our athletes,” sambit ni Ramirez.
“With the money at our disposal, we were able to send our athletes to all possible destinations from Asia, the US and most parts of Europe.”
Sa venues, sinabi ni Ramirez na halos palitada na lamang ang kailangan para matapos ang rehabilitasyon sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, gayundin ang PhilSports sa Pasig City.
“Many individuals and corporate entities have, likewise, offered their time, skills and services, as well as financial help. Like Milo, for instance, whose mother company Nestle Philippines, have been the government’s partner in sports development for decades,” aniya.
Iginiit naman ni Lester Castillo, Milo Sports manager, na hindi titigil ang kompanya sa pagsuporta sa atletang Pinoy kahit makamit ang pinakahihintay na Olympic gold.
“Milo and Nestle has been in sports since 1964 when through my father, launched the Milo Little Olympics program, which up to this present time has been a permanent fixture in many local sporting events,” pahayag ni Castillo .
“At marami-rami na rin naman kaming naman kamingna-contribute na young and fresh talents who became members of the national teams.”
