Tinitingnan ngayon ng gobyerno ang posibleng muling pagbubukas ng mga sektor ng negosyo na “low-risk” umano sa COVID-19.

Hiningan kasi ng reaksyon si Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez sa posibleng isa o dalawang-linggong pagpapalawig ng enhanced community quarantine sa NCR Plus, o sa Metro Manila at mga probinsya ng Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna at Rizal.

“What we’re saying is we can’t also continue to be [under] ECQ for a long time. That’s why what we’re looking at is a gradual movement toward reopening [those sectors] that are low-risk,” tugon ng kalihim sa One News, Huwebes.

“So what we’re saying is we already have a system. We have an ECQ, which allowed only the very essential [businesses to remain] open. Once we get to a modified ECQ (MECQ), which is the next lighter or deescalated community quarantine, there will again be other sectors that will be opened like under manufacturing,” paliwanag niya.

Hindi naman tinukoy ni Lopez kung paano nabatid ng DTI ang mga sektor na low-risk sa pagkalat ng coronavirus.

Sa ngayon, halos dalawang linggo nang nakasailalim sa lockdown ang NCR Plus.
