Inihirit ng isang kongresista ang pagsasagawa ng house-to-house vaccination para sa mga taong may kapansanan at mga 70 taong gulang pataas.

Ayon kay House Committee on Senior Citizens chairperson Rodolfo Ordanes naiintindihan nito na hindi kakayanin ang pagsasagawa ng malawakang house-to-house vaccination kaya maaaring ilimita lamang ito sa mga tao na mahihirapang pumunta sa mga vaccination center.

Sumulat na si Ordanes sa mga alkalde sa Metro Manila para ipaalam ang kanyang apela.

“The COVID spread is like a major fire, so some firefighting tactics would be useful. Target the larger clusters and create a firewall. Isolate and contain specific areas,” sabi ni Ordanes.

Hindi umano maitatanggi na kailangan ang house-to-house vaccination subalit maraming mga bagay na kailangang paghandaan kahit limitado pa ang suplay ng bakuna.

“The mayors also have to consider cold storage, logistics, security, and crowd control—factors which get difficult to do when done large scale, but it can be done, so it would be wise to prepare for it now before the main bulk of the vaccine shipments arrive later in the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas.
