Humingi ng paumanhin si National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua dahil sa pagloloko ng online registration para sa national ID system.

Paliwanag ni Chua, nasa 16,000 user kada minuto na kayang umakyat hanggang 35,000 user ang na-testing nila para sa registration sa Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

Ngunit nang i-launch na ang kanilang website ay 46,000 kaagad ang sumubok mag-register sa unang minuto.

“First of all I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the Filipino people for what happened. I take full responsibility, but I hope the viewers would care to listen to the story to give people some understanding,” ayon kay Chua sa ANC.

“It is a pilot, and the main reason for piloting it is to learn, and we learned a lot,” aniya pa.

Siniguro naman ni Chua na kanila nang inaayos ang online registration, at kanila itong ire-relaunch sa lalong madaling panahon.
