Aabot sa P70 milyon halaga ng mga gamit pang ospital at personal protective equipment ang dinonate ng pamahalaan ng Australia sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nitong Biyernes.

Gagamitin ang mga donasyon para sa AFP Health Service Command at sa iba pang aktibidad ng AFP patungkol sa pagtulong nila sa paglaban kontra COVID.

“Through the Enhanced Defence Cooperation, Australia is providing this additional assistance to the AFP in the spirit of mateship and bayanihan,” ani Steven Robinson AO, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines.

“They are carrying out such a challenging role during this pandemic, and as a true friend and partner, Australia stands ready to support the AFP and the AFP Health Service Command,” dagdag pa niya.

Noong Mayo 2020 ay nag-donate din ang Australia ng P35 milyon para sa pagsasaayos ng Victoriano Luna Medical Center – AFP Medical Center.(MJD)
