Hininto ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration ang pag-deploy ng mga nurse at healthcare worker sa ibang bansa.

Ito’y matapos na maabot na ang 5,000 cap sa mga healthcare worker na nakabiyahe abroad.

“The processing and issuance of overseas employment certificates and deployment of new hires for healthcare workers are hereby suspended effective immediately,” ayon kay POEA chief Bernard Olalia sa isang advisory.

“Healthcare workers who were already issued with their corresponding overseas employment certificates, however, are allowed to depart for their overseas employment,” aniya pa.

Matatandaan na naglagay ng limitasyon ang Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases sa deployment ng mga healthcare worker abroad dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.
