Nasawi ang isang crew member nang tumagilid ang isang RoRo passenger ship sa Ormoc City, Leyte kagabi, September 24.
Kinilala ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang pumanaw na si Raquel Alo, 33-anyos, purser ng barko, na na-trap sa loob ng vessel.
Natagpuan ang katawan ng biktima sa ilalim ng mga kargamentong sakay ng MV Lite Ferry 3.
Itinurn-over ang bangkay sa Ormoc City Scene of Crime Operatives para sa proper disposition at bandang alas-5 ng madaling-araw nitong Sabado ay nadala na sa punerarya sa nasabing siyudad.
Samantala, na-rescue naman ang 15 nakaligtas na crew member at dinala sa Ormoc City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office para medical assistance.
Nagkaproblema raw ang barko habang nagsasagawa ng docking maneuver sa Ormoc Port bandang alas-11:50 ng gabi noong Biyernes, kung saan tumagilid ito sa kanan.
Pinayuhan ng PCG ang kapitan ng barko na maghain ng marine protest.

Upon arrival at the incident area, the PCG sighted that the said vessel was already listed on its starboard side (right).

A total of 15 crew members were rescued, while the purser of the said vessel, identified as 33-year-old Raquel Alo was reportedly trapped inside the vessel.

Meanwhile, the 15 survivors were turned over to the Ormoc City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) for medical assistance.
