Isang ‘successful experiment’ na maituturing ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang pagkakasa nila ng alert level system sa National Capital Region bilang hakbang sa pag-iwas sa patuloy na pagkalat ng COVID-19.

“It’s been a successful experiment on its own. It’s a successful pilot because the people are disciplined, there is still economic activity, and we’ve seen that the numbers are really going down,” ani MMDA chairperson Benhur Abalos nitong Miyerkoles sa isang online forum.

“Right now, I would say the numbers are very promising in terms of reproduction rate, active cases, although I have no information yet about the hospital care utilization,” pagpapatuloy niya.

Matatandaang isinailalim sa Alert Level 4 ang NCR noong Setyembre 16 na siyang inaasahang magtatapos hanggang Setyembre 30.

Sa ilalim ng natruang alert level na ito, maaaring magbukas ang mga alfresco dine-in (30% capacity); indoor dine-in (10% capacity na siyang para lang sa mga fully vaccinated customers); barberya at salon (30% capacity para sa outdoor at 10% capacity naman sa indoor na siyang para lang sa fully vaccinated customers); at religious gatherings (30% capacity sa outdoor at 10% capacity naman sa indoor na siyang para lang sa mga fully vaccinated na dadalo).
