Nagbitiw na si Secretary Vince Dizon bilang Presidente ng Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA).
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sa kanyang press briefing sa Malacañang.
Ayon kay Roque, hiniling ni Dizon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na bawasan ang kanyang trabaho para matutukan ang ginawang pagtugon ng gobyerno sa COVID-19 at sa vaccination rollout.
“Mr. Vicencio “Vince” Dizon tendered his resignation effective October 16,2021. Secretary Vince has asked the President to unload him of his task so that he can focus full time on national government’s COVID response efforts and vaccination rollout,” ani Roque.
Pero kahit nagbitiw na aniya si Dizon sa BCDA ay mananatili itong Deputy Chief Implementer sa National Task Force Against COVID-19 kung saan siya ang itinalagang testing czar sa ginagawang paglaban ng gobyerno sa COVID-19.
“Mananatili po sa gobyerno bilang Presidential Adviser for COVID-19 Response si Secretary Vince Dizon bilang Deputy Chief Implementer ng National Task Force Against COVID-19 as testing czar,” dagdag ni Roque.
Kinilala ng Palasyo ang malaking nagawa ni Dizon sa BCDA, isa na dito ang naipasok nitong kita sa gobyerno na P48 billion–pinakamataas na kita ng kahit na sinong administrasyon.
“Sa kanyang termino bilang BCDA President and CEO, BCDA earned 48 billion in revenues, the highest by far of any administration in only five years and by itself represents almost 40% of total revenues in the last 27 year,” wika ni Roque.
Itinalaga naman ng Palasyo bilang Officer-In-Charge si BCDA Director Aristotle Matuan.
Samantala, itinalaga naman ni Pangulong Duterte si Jesus Melchor Vega Quitain bilang bagong Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, kapalit ni secretary Salvador Panelo. (Aileen
