COVID reproduction number sa NCR tumaas sa 0.48 – OCTA

Bahagyang tumaas ang COVID reproduction number sa Metro Manila ayon sa OCTA Research Group ngayong Lunes.

Naging 0.48 kasi ito na noong Sabado ay 0.47 lang.

Sambit naman ng grupo, wala pa silang nakikitang pagtaas ng COVID cases kahit na bahagyang tumaas ang reproduction number nito.

“Are cases rising in the NCR? The short answer is no, at least not yet,” saad ni OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David.

“While new cases over the past few days were higher than 1,000, the trends are still in line with weekly patterns,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang reproduction number ay tumutukoy sa dami ng tao na maaaring mahawa mula sa isang positibong kaso.

Ayon sa pag-aaral, ang reproduction number na mas mababa sa 1 ay nangangahulugang bumabagal na ang pagkalat ng virus.

Kasalukuyang may naitala ng 2,756,923 COVID cases sa bansa kung saan 60,957 dito ay aktibo. (VA)
