Inaprubaha na ng Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang pagpasok ng mga turistang ganap na nabakunahan mula sa mga Green List na bansa.

Ang Special Technical Working Group on Travel ay gagawa ng mga guidline para sa huling pag-apruba ng IATF.

Ayon kay Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat nitong Nobyembre 19, tanging ang mga bakunadong turista na may bakunang kinikilala ng Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sa ilalim ng Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) o ang mga awtorisado ng World Health Organization lang ng papayagang makapasok.

“Allowing tourists from green countries, or territories that have the majority of its population vaccinated and with low infection rate, will greatly help in our recovery efforts–increasing tourist arrivals. This will likewise aid in bolstering consumer confidence, which is a large contributor to our gross domestic product or GDP growth,” ani Puyat. (Sherrylou Nemis)
