Inanunsyo ng Asian Development Bank (ADB) ang kanilang pagpondo ng $175 milyon (P8.8 bilyon) para sa tatlong bagong tulay sa Marikina river.

Batay sa ulat, ang tatlong tulay ay itatayo para pagdugtungin ang Marcos Highway at St. Mary Avenue; Homeowner’s Drive at A. Bonifacio; at Kabayani Street at Matandang Balara.

Tangka umano ng mga naturang tulay na paluwagin ang daloy ng trapiko sa Metro Manila.

Parte rin umano ang mga ito ng Build, Build, Build program ng administrasyon.

“The project is ADB’s first focused on bridge construction in the Philippines and will help in the country’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic by creating jobs, improving the living conditions of residents near the river, and providing them with better access to the rest of Metro Manila,” pahayag ni Chaorin Shim, Transport Specialist for Southeast Asia.
