Naghain ng resolusyon ang 33 kongresista sa pangunguna ni House Speaker Lord Alan Jay Velasco upang kilalanin ang composer na si Denise Santos na nanalo ng “Outstanding Muslim Composition” award sa 42nd Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards.

“It is important to recognize and acknowledge award-winning Filipino composer to encourage local music artists to go beyond their boundaries and enhance the quality of the Filipino music industry through exploring other categories such as music scoring,” sabi ng mga mambabatas sa House Resolution 2399.

Si Santos at ang partner nitong si Adam Lukas ng Bleeding Fingers Music ay nanalo sa musical scoring ng “Primates” isang BBC documentary series.

Nagtapos si Santos ng Bachelor’s Degree in Management sa Ateneo de Manila University bago pumunta ng Amerika kung saan siya kumuha ng professional certificate para sa music production sa Berklee College of Music at film scoring sa University of California sa Los Angeles.

Kasama sa kanyang mga nilatagan ng musika ang BBC America series na “Eden: Untanned Planet”, ang Discovery Channel reality series na “Alaskan Bush People”, ang “Making the Cut” ng Amazon Prime at “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” isang documentary series ng Lifetime.

Si Santos din ang naglatag ng musika sa mga Filipino independent film na “Baka Bukas “ noong 2016 at “Billie and Emma” noong 2018.
