Kailangang paigtingin ang mass testing, contact tracing at mass booster shots, pagbabakuna sa mga menor de edad mula 5 hanggang 11 taong gulang at paghihigpit sa mga lumalabag sa protocols.

Ito ang mungkahi ni Senador Panfilo Lacson sa pamahalaan sa gobyerno at publiko para masugpo ang virus sa kabila ng pagtaas muli ng Covid cases sa bansa kamakailan.

Ayon kay Lacson, hindi dapat tayo maging kampante hangga’t hindi nauubos ang Covid cases sa bansa. Kasalukuyang naka-home quarantine si Lacson matapos ma-expose sa kanyang anak na nag-positive sa Covid kamakailan.

“We can claim victory only when there are zero cases. As the latest surge of infections has shown, we cannot become complacent even when the number of cases goes down,” ayon kay Lacson, standard-bearer ng Partido Reporma.

Dagdag pa ng presidential aspirant, mas pinaigting na hakbang ang dapat gawin para mapigilan ang tuluyang pagkalat ng Covid maliban sa kanyang patuloy na paalala sa Twitter na mag – “Mask, Iwas, Hugas.”

“On top of that, national and local governments must embark on an aggressive mass testing, mass contact tracing, and mass booster shots. The process to vaccinate five- to 11-year-olds must be accelerated,” giit ni Lacson.

“After two years’ experience under the pandemic, our authorities should know what to do by now: ensure the efficient rollout of vaccine and booster shots, and the proper distribution of ‘ayuda’ to families affected by this continuing threat to our health and economy,” dagdag nito.

Para kay Lacson, magandang simula ang ginawang suspensyon at pagpapatong ng multa sa isang hotel sa Makati kung saan tumakas si Gwyneth Anne Chua, at ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban dito at sa iba pang sangkot sa paglabag sa quarantine rules.

Kinilala rin ni Lacson ang desisyon ng ibang kampo na itigil pansamantala ang kanilang political gatherings at pampublikong aktibidad sa gitna ng patuloy na pagtaas ng Covid cases sa bansa.

“I support the halting of ground activities like motorcades by the campaign teams of those running in the May 9 elections. Wala pa ang Omicron sa Pilipinas, may disiplina na kami ni Senate President Tito Sotto sa mga hybrid online dialogues namin sa iba’t ibang lugar ng bansa,” ani Lacson.
