Tinatayang higit sa 100 chinese vessels ang namataan sa West Philippine Sea mula Abril 18 hanggang 24, ito ay ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Ayon kay Coast Guard spokesperson Commodore Jay Tarriela, ang mga vessels umano ay Chinese Maritime Militia vessels, People’s Liberation Army Navy corvette at dalawang China Coast Guard vessels.
“The PCG has already submitted a report to the National Task Force West Philippine Sea (NTFWPS), highlighting the presence of a Chinese warship, the continued appearance of alleged CMM vessels within the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), as well as the aggressive actions of the CCG against PCG vessels,”
Sa malapit sa Sabina Shoal, 18 na Chinese Maritime Militia vessels ang na-detect, ayon kay Tarriela.
Habang sa paligid naman ng Pag-asa Island, apat na Chinese Maritime Militia vessels ang namataan.
