Sa pamamagitan ng isang Facebook post, inihayag ni dating senador Gregorio ‘Gringo’ Honasan ang kaniyang pagsuporta sa extension ng SIM Registration.

“I stand in solidarity with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s order to extend the deadline for SIM Registration and join the call for our kababayans to seize this opportunity to register their SIMs.”

“Let us empower and educate our kababayans, ensuring that they register not merely out of sheer compliance with the law but rather out of a clear understanding and appreciation of the greater good that will arise from SIM registration.” dagdag pa nito.

Ayon pa kay Honasan, wala dapat umanong maiwan patungo sa “digital Philippines” at sinabi pang “Walang iwanan sa nagkakaisang lipunan!”.

“Let us stay the course towards achieving the vision of a digital Philippines, leaving no one behind in our journey towards progress. Walang iwanan sa nagkakaisang lipunan!”

Matatandaang kamakailan lang ay kinumpirma ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na extended na ang pagre-register ng SIM card.

Ang SIM card registration umano ay mai-extend ng 90 araw.
